Lockhill is a Live Escape game. Essentially it is a type of physical adventure game in which you and your friends are locked in a room and have to use elements of the room to solve a series of puzzles, find clues, and escape the room within a set time limit. You win or lose as a team. Escape games are based on "escape the room" video games, such as "Crimson Room" and "QP-Shot",in which the player is locked inside a room and must explore his or her surroundings in order to escape. You must be observant and use your critical thinking skills to escape the room. Other inspirations include adventure board games and movies like "Saw". In every room there is a panic button, that you can press if you feel that you want to exit the room for any reason (this doesn't count as winning!). If you want to, you can re-enter the room when you are ready.
The theme and the story in Lockhill is extremely important, and the game itself is constructed around it, instead of just being pasted like other escape games. We have given extra care to the general atmosphere, lighting, music, decoration and storytelling as they are of utter importance in order for you to immerse yourself in the experience. We have really tried to make the experience as similar as possible to a very atmospheric adventure game. Storywise, Lockhill resembles a small village where the full story reveals itself slowly over the course of your visits as you explore different locations (rooms) and you find different clues that will ultimately piece together the overall plot.You'll have to escape from some rooms, or find out how to enter others! The whole experience and each individual room are of our own creation.
Depending on what you like, you can visit only one of our rooms/locations and experience it's subplot without the need to visit the others, or come again and visit the other rooms/locations to fully experience the story of Lockhill, by discovering a piece of clue in every room/location that you'll keep, and when you piece together all of them you'll discover the full horrific story! You can explore the rooms/locations in whatever order you like, as the order is not important if you just want to play an escape room. However, if you wish to discover the full overarching story of Lockhill without missing important information that might confuse you in regards to the story, the correct order to play our rooms is the following: The Lockwood Manor, The Voodoo Shop, The Sanatorium, Chapel & Catacombs, House on the Hill
The most important thing is for you to have fun! ...but if you want more than that you'll be happy to know that we have a special scoring system, depending not only on how fast you escaped the room, but also on how many times you asked for help, how much of the story you uncovered and on how much you became part of the story yourself by playing your role as the investigator from our Introduction page! The score of your team will be announced on our Scores Page. In the near future, the highest scoring team each month, will win a special prize!
Depending on the game, it can last from 60 to 180 minutes.
There is no need for special clothing. Just wear something comfortable or if you want to fully become part of the story (and have amazing memento photos to prove it!) you can wear vintage clothes.
There is no age limit although it is advisable for children to be over 12 years old since puzzles might be too challenging for them! The only requirement is that you like exploration and a good story!
Of course it is. If the number of players has changed, you don't have to change the reservation: you will be charged according to the number of players when you arrive. To cancel your reservation simply use the canceling link in the confirmation email you got when you made the booking. You can also give us a call or send us an email to thelockhill@gmail.com with your name, the reservation number from the email you got, and the time of your booking and we will do it for you. If you want to change your booking, cancel your previous appointment first and then from our web page make your new reservation choosing one of the available slots. Rooms that require a deposit: Please call us and dont cancel your reservation. The deposit cannot be refunded, however, up to 5 days prior to your reservation, we can reschedule it for free on a different time/date of your choice. In any different case, a new reservation/deposit must be made as the previous deposit is lost. In the event of a no-show, full up front payment will be required for all future reservations made by the same team/person.

Please make sure to be there 5 minutes earlier as if you are late, depending on whether or not there is a reservation after yours, you might lose precious time from your experience.
